Roy Goodman, Jr.

MOULTRIE, GA – William Roy Goodman, Jr., 78, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home. 

A private graveside service will be held in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born September 2, 1944, in Madison, Florida, he was the son of the late William Roy Goodman, Sr. and Vera Blanton Goodman.   Mr. Roy retired from the City of Moultrie as a supervisor and was a member of Riverside Holiness Church.  He loved the Lord, his family, especially his grandchildren and his church family.  Roy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.  His family will always remember him as a loving, faithful, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed entertaining everyone by playing his guitar.    

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Louise Wildes Goodman; siblings, Jimmy Goodman, Marilyn Goodman Gibbs.

Survivors include his children, Vickie Johnson and husband Roy, Lisa Phillips all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Eric Phillips and wife Jessica, Keith Yarbrough; great-grandchildren, Ellie Jane Phillips, Zack Yarbrough, Zane Yarbrough, Landon, Braylon, Caden, Able; brother, Bruce Goodman of Tallahassee.
