Ruth Eulane Byrd

Ruth Eulane Byrd, 90, of Moultrie, GA, died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Pruitt Health–Magnolia Manor. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, North Carolina. Born September 23, 1930, in Durham, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Carson Byrd and Luna Cates Byrd. She was previously an elementary teacher with the Durham County Board of Education in North Carolina. While living in Moultrie in her later years, she was an active member of the Moultrie First Church of the Nazarene. Miss Byrd was very loving to her family and friends and always expressed her love for the Lord. Survivors include her brother Ronnie Byrd and wife Patty of Concord, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Larry Byrd and wife Peggy, Charlotte Byrd, Kathy Richter, Ricky Wood and wife Fay, Gary Wood, Mark Wood and wife Marcella, Betty Pittman and husband Stan, and Ronnie Byrd. She also had several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Doris Wood Cheek and brother Marvin Byrd.
