Ruth Ann Thaggard

PELHAM, GA – Ruth Ann Wyrick Thaggard, 82, of Pelham, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Piedmont Healthcare in Macon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Sale City Baptist Church with the Reverend Tim Bozeman officiating.   Interment will follow in Mount Sinai Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Wednesday at Sale City Baptist Church.

Casketbearers will be Clint Thaggard, Garrett Thaggard, Justin Cox, Lee Glenn and Tripp Tally.

Born December 21, 1940, in Riverside, California, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Emmett Wyrick and Alma Florine Kelsey Wyrick.  Mrs. Thaggard was a mother and Maw, who loved her family with all she was.  She was very proud of the boys she raised and the beautiful grandkids she also helped raise.  Mrs. Thaggard adored her grandchildren, but her great granddaughter and great grandson were the apple of her eye.  She set an example as a godly woman who loved the Lord and served Him by putting her faith into action.  Mrs. Thaggard was cherished by her family who appreciated her sacrifices to raise and care for them.  She will live forever in the hearts of her family and those who knew her.  Mrs. Thaggard was a faithful member of Sale City Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clinton Mercer Thaggard.

Survivors include her sons, Randall “Randy” Thaggard and wife Cindee of Macon and Jeffrey Thaggard and wife Shannon of Pelham; grandchildren, Samantha Cox and husband Justin, Melissa Thaggard and Casey, Clint Thaggard, and Garrett Thaggard; great-grandchildren, Haley Cox and Logan Cox; brother, Dennis Wyrick and wife Debbie of California; sister, Debbie Wyrick Mills and husband Jamy, of California; along with a number of family members and friends.
