Sadie Belle Allegood Sellers

Sadie Belle Allegood Sellers, 88, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at The First Church of the Nazarene of Moultrie with the Reverend James Pendell officiating assisted by Mrs. Anne Sams.  Interment will follow in Funston Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Casketbearers will be Ricky Wood, Mark Wood, Jimmy Giddens, Terry McCracken, John Eunice and Mike Wingate.

Born July 3, 1933, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late W.J. Allegood and Annie Belle Hunt Allegood.  Mrs. Sellers retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene.  She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed having her family together.  She was an avid competitive sports-lover who supported the Moultrie High School, CCHS Packers, Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.  Mrs. Sellers made many people happy with her outstanding cake-baking skills and will be truly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie Senous Sellers; brothers, Ellieque Allegood and Irvin Allegood; sister, Laverne Willingham.

Survivors include her children, Susie Knox and husband James of Hartsfield, Vickie Spangler and husband David, Don Sellers and Irene Grace all of Moultrie, Regina Goodwin and husband Rich of Summerville, SC, Denny Sellers and wife Kayla of Hartsfield, Ben Sellers and wife Marie of Leesburg; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Luff and husband Gary of Moultrie and other family members.
