Moultrie, GA – Sally Ethridge Taylor, 58, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Doerun Cemetery with the Reverend Tim Henry officiating.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00-2:45 PM, Wednesday at Doerun Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Hayden Butterfield, Wally Kennedy, Scott Cannon, Jake Ethridge, Drew Hazzard and Rev. Tim Henry.

Born November 16, 1966, in Brooks County, Georgia, she was the daughter of James “Buddy” Clinton Ethridge , Jr. and Sue Wilson Ethridge. Mrs. Sally was a teacher for 22 years in the Colquitt County School System teaching at Odom Elementary School and Colquitt County High School. She made a lasting impact on students throughout her career and her teaching legacy will live on forever. Mrs. Sally enjoyed fishing, playing cards, going to the beach, listening to music and spending time with her kitty cats. Her family and friends will always remember her as being a wonderful cook and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, James “Buddy” Clinton Ethridge, Jr. and Sue Wilson Ethridge, survivors include her husband, William Edward Taylor; children, Robert Ethridge Taylor, Savannah Taylor Butterfield, Suzanne Virginia Taylor; grandchildren, Hayden Butterfield, Sadie Butterfield; siblings, James Clinton "Jim" Ethridge and wife Renata, Amanda Hazzard and husband Stan; niece and nephews, Jake Ethridge, Katie Ethridge, Drew Hazzard, Kelly Hazzard; several other extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colquitt County School District, Colquitt County Program for Exceptional Children, PO Box 2708, Moultrie, GA. 31776.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
