Sammy Frank Smith

MOULTRIE, GA – Sammy Frank Smith, 62, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Archbold Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Corey Shiver officiating.  Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends after the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Born April 28, 1961, in Dothan, AL, he was the son of the late Reverend James Smith and Eloise Perry Smith.  Sammy was a mechanic at Jackson Transmission for 30+ years and was a member of First Assembly of God Church.    He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his family dearly.  Sammy was a very talented bass guitarist who enjoyed sharing his love of music with many.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Catlin Smith.

Survivors include his children, Hannah Brady and husband Seth, Turner Smith; grandchildren, Kelsee Brady, Alexis Brady, Jayse Brady, Hynlee Brady; siblings Beverly Ray, Marti Baker and husband Winston; significant other, Angie Wilder; the members of his musical family; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
