Sandra Greer Askew

Sandra Greer Askew, 77, of Moultrie, died Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 PM.  Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended. 

Casketbearers will be Daniel Alsobrooks, Keelin Alsobrooks, Blake Askew, Austin Askew, Hinton Bolinger, Jaron McKinnon, Cody Wise, Diego Barrios, and Gabriel Barrios.

Born January 2, 1944, in Tifton, GA she was the daughter of the late Hinton Greer and Mary Jones Greer.  Mrs. Sandra retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education where she served as the bookkeeper for the Program for Exceptional Children, always being known for sharing her cheerful spirit with everyone.  She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She loved her Lord and enjoyed fellowshipping with others.  Her family was near and dear to her heart, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Treasured moments were spent on vacation in St. Augustine, FL as she always loved to travel.

Survivors include her children, Sandee Alsobrooks and husband Randy of Panama City, FL, Scott Askew and wife Deeva of Pearson, GA and Stacee Bolinger and husband Dwayne of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Alsobrooks and wife Aimy, Keelin Alsobrooks and wife Ashlyn, Blake Askew and wife Sara, Austin Askew and wife Dagan, Candie McKinnon and husband Jaron, Jennifer Wise and husband Cody, Hinton Bolinger and fiancée Hannah Fuller; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Barrios, Diego Barrios, Raylee Alsobrooks, Haidyn McKinnon, Caroline Askew, Weslyn Wise, Aiden Askew, and Amelia Askew; special nephews David White and Richard White. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clifton Ray Askew and her sister, Anne White.
