Sharon Cannon Hobgood

MOULTRIE, GA – Sharon Cannon Hobgood, 64, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jeffery Johnson officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born December 24, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Henry Cannon and Ina Getrude Plymel Cannon. Mrs. Sharon was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors in the yard and working in her garden. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Fred Hobgood; ex-husband, Talmadge Hopper; siblings, Dan Cannon, Tommy Cannon. 

Survivors include her children, Jason Hopper and wife Effie, Timothy Hopper; grandchildren, Toby Hopper, Gabby Hopper, Trinity Hopper, Khloe Hopper; siblings, Felton Cannon, Wesley Cannon, Elbert Cannon and wife Kathy, Alan Cannon and wife Sharon, Shirley Merrill, Katherine Pate; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
