MOULTRIE, GA – Steve Gibbs, 70, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Josh Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45PM Sunday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Eric Gibbs, Adam Merritt, Chris Hynote, Cole Bryant, Anthony Bryant, and Wayne Bryant.

Born December 11, 1952, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late George Dewey Gibbs and Cora Adams Gibbs. Mr. Steve was a farmer and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He loved and cherished his family dearly and loved his cats and dogs. Mr. Steve enjoyed watching westerns movies, western tv shows, and going fishing.

Survivors include his son, David Gibbs and wife Stephanie of Moultrie; grandchildren, Alexandria Merritt and husband Adam, Eric Gibbs; siblings, Caroline Hurd and husband Tim of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Jane Gregory all of Bluffton, South Carolina, Ginger Beverly and husband Mike of Valdosta; special nieces, Carli Hurd, Heather Gregory
