Sybil Murphy Wills

Sybil Murphy Wills, 82, of Thomasville, GA, formerly of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Charter Senior Living Center in Thomasville, GA.

          A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie, GA with the Rev. Tom Underwood officiating.   Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          There will be a reception for family and friends at 6:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at North Point Christian Church, 1506 Bannerman Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.

          Born April 19, 1938 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late John Davie “Buddy” Murphy and Meter Dorothy Luke Murphy.  Mrs. Wills retired after 43 years as a pre-school teacher at Faith Presbyterian Pre-School in Tallahassee, FL.  She was a member of North Point Christian Church, was an avid painter and enjoyed gardening.  Mrs. Wills was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was extremely devoted to her husband.

          Survivors include her husband, Joel M. Wills of Thomasville, GA; daughter, Lynn Underwood and husband Tom of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Gwen Wachtel and husband Steve of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Josh Underwood and wife Hillary, Jessica Underwood; great-grandchildren, Cole Underwood, Ella Underwood.
