Ted Taylor, 69, of Moultrie died Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Ms. Hannah Bass officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
Born July 26, 1954 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Bobby Taylor and Jane Fagan Taylor of Kennesaw, Georgia. Ted was a 1972 graduate of Henderson High School in Chamblee, Georgia.
Ted owned and operated Taylor Fire Sprinkler Contractors. He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Moultrie. Ted embraced God’s calling to give to those in need and love his neighbor. Ted was a friend to all. He enjoyed spending time at the YMCA and was a volunteer at the Moultrie Food Bank. He loved being on the water sailing or fishing. Ted was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, who will be remembered for his selflessness and generosity.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Herman Taylor and his son, Kyle Danley Taylor. He is survived by his mother, Jane Fagan Taylor of Kennesaw, Georgia; brother, David Randall Taylor of East Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Abbey Taylor Staples (Matthew) of Florence, Alabama; and grandchildren Walter Davis Staples and Katherine Kyle Staples. Ted was loved dearly by his step-daughter, Kristen Brogdon (Thad) and Tyler Eidson (Leslie) both of Moultrie, Georgia.
Friends may call on the family at the residence of Thad and Kristen Brogdon, 1461 Paul Murphy Road, Moultrie, Georgia.Memorial contributions may be made to the Moultrie Food Bank.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
