Tommy V. Fallin

         Tommy V. Fallin, of Meigs, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, in the home where he was born 71 years ago.

          Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2020 at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Fudge officiating.  Interment, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 2:00 P.M.

          Casketbearers will be Allen Blount, Todd Fallin, Bruce Allen, Cody Roberts, Charlie Griffin and Charles McCranie.

          Born June 27, 1949 in Meigs, he was the fourth child of the late E.V. Fallin, Jr. and Nezzie Vinson Fallin.  He was a member of Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

          He served three years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  Mr. Fallin retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education as a Bus Shop Mechanic.  He is remembered by his family as a kind, sweet and gentle man who always had a wonderful smile.  An avid Dale Earnhart Sr. fan, he loved NASCAR when #3 was racing.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vinson Fallin and Francis Fallin and a lovely sister, Elayne Blount.

          Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rebecca “Becky” Tucker Fallin of Meigs; two children, Deborah Lynn Jackson and Tommy V. “Bo” Fallin, both of Meigs; three grandchildren, Bryce Jackson, Kinsley Jackson and Claire Fallin; one great-grandchild, Eden Payne; two brothers, Donald Fallin and wife Debbie and Lindsey Fallin, all of Meigs.; sister-in-law, Joyce Fallin of Albany.
