Van Franklin Suber

Van Franklin Suber, a beloved member of the Hartsfield community in Georgia, passed away on January 21, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Van was born on November 17, 1954, in Moultrie, Georgia to his parents, Paul Leo Suber and Betty Ruth (Harrison) Suber.

Throughout his life, Van had a deep passion for aviation and enjoyed flying airplanes. He took great pleasure in feeling the wind beneath his wings as he soared through the sky. When he wasn't up in the air, Van found solace and joy in fishing. It was during these moments that he felt connected to nature and at peace with himself.

Van had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his dogs who were loyal companions throughout his life. He found comfort and unconditional love in their company. Additionally, Van was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed following the thrilling races with enthusiasm.

Van is survived by his children; Craig Suber and wife Kristy of Moultrie, Heather Erwin and husband Todd of Orange Park FL., Jason Suber and wife Tonya of Moultrie GA., and Jared Suber of Albany. His grandchildren Riley Suber and Jacob Suber brought immense joy to Van's life as they shared cherished moments together.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Van is also survived by his sister Paula Castelberry and husband Caroll. The bond between siblings is a special one, marked by lifelong support and love. Paula held a significant place in Van's heart, providing unwavering support throughout their lives.

Van was preceded in death by his grandson Abram Suber. While Abram may no longer be with us physically, he will forever live on in our hearts as we remember the beautiful moments shared together.

A graveside service will be held on January 24, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartsfield, Georgia. This serene location holds a special significance for Van and his loved ones, as it will serve as a final resting place for him. The service will be a time for family and friends to come together, pay their respects, and celebrate the life of this remarkable individual.

Van Franklin Suber was a cherished member of the community whose kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love for flying airplanes, fishing trips, his beloved dogs, and his unwavering passion for Nascar.
