Veronica Kay Prosser

MOULTRIE, GA – Veronica Kay Prosser, 81, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be Paul Hughes, III, Paul Hughes, Jr., Todd Shiflett, Ben Shiflett, David Strayer, Tony Anderson. 

Born November 15, 1943, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Oklen James Carroll and Wanna Lee Webb Thomas. Mrs. Kay was a phone operator with Kiric System and General Telephone and Electronics (GTE). She retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company after 43 years of service. Mrs. Kay loved her family dearly, especially her grandson and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and playing solitaire. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Veronica Hughes Amador; siblings, James Lee Carroll and wife Barbara, William Jerome Carroll, Shirley Carroll Glasgow. 

Survivors include her grandson, Paul R. Hughes, III and wife Dale Hughes; great-grandchildren, Skylar Olivia Hughes and Paul Rylan Hughes; siblings, Wayne Carroll and wife Bonnie, Al Whittington and wife Barbara, Vickie Sellers and husband Leon; sister-in-law, Margaret Carroll; several nieces, nephew and other extended family members and friends. 

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
