Vicki Lynn McKaughan, a beloved member of the Moultrie community, passed away on June 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. Born on July 31, 1959 in Moultrie Ga., Vicki's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to serving others.
In her professional life, Vicki was known for her hard work and compassion. She served as a cafeteria worker at Colquitt County High School, where she brightened the days of students and staff alike with her warm smile. In addition to her role at the High School, Vicki devoted many years to working for the Colquitt County Humane Society, where she tirelessly advocated for the well-being of animals in need.
Outside of work, Vicki cultivated a deep love for animals, especially cats. She found joy in caring for furry friends and creating a loving home for them. Another passion of hers was attending races at the dirt track, where the thrill of cars speeding by brought her immense excitement.
Above all else, Vicki cherished spending time with her family, particularly her grandkids. Her love and support were unwavering, and she created countless cherished memories with those closest to her.
Vicki is survived by her father Frank Uttley; children Aaron McKaughan Sr. and his significant other Vicki Dampier of Moultrie, and Amy Plymel and husband Jerry of Moultrie; grandsons Ethan McKaughan and Aaron McKaughan Jr.; sister Lana Chadbourne; uncle Lee Redmond; aunt Londa Dewan and husband Paul. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Lamerle (Redmond) Uttley, brother Allen Dale Uttley, and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on June 7, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel in Moultrie. A Funeral Service will take place on June 8, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randall Kennedy officiating.
Vicki Lynn McKaughan will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she made a lasting impact on those around her through her kindness and love.
