MOULTRIE, GA – WC Parten, 85, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Saunders “Sonny” Pinckard. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Casketbearers will be Kenneth Sharpe, Lyndon Livingston, Aldo Lopez, Jeff Ingle, Daniel Harrell and Shawn Southerland. Born June 16, 1937, in Worth County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Eddie Marvin Parten and Lizzy Mae Rogers Parten. Mr. Parten was a United States Air Force Veteran having served his country honorably. He retired from the Crop Production Services as a manager with 51 years of service. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Parten loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with all of them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Baker Parten; son, John Parten; grandson, Chase Livingston; great-grandson, Bentley Compton; daughter-in-law, Nicole Parten; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Parten and wife Carolyn, Sammy Parten, Josie Parten; nephew, Jim Parten. Survivors include his children, Gail Parten Livingston and husband Charles of Colquitt, George “Bo” Parten, Ann Parten both of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brandy Sharpe, Kenneth Sharpe, Crystal Livingston, Chelsie Compton, Alan Michael Parten, Ashley Carroll, Madison Parten; great-grandchildren, Jason Sharpe, Kelsey Sharpe, Lyndon Livingston, Cayson Livingston, Tryston Livingston, Braxton Compton, Layla Prevatt, Fisher Prevatt; siblings, Aaron “Gene” Parten, Rogers Parten and wife Catherine, Mike Parten and wife Diane; sister-in-law, Priscilla Parten; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
