William "Bill" Moody, Jr.

FUNSTON, GA – William B. “Bill” Moody, Jr., 65, of Funston, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The family will have a memorial service at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Lakeside Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Milligan, Pastor Donnie Lewis and Pastor Matthew Moody officiating. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lakeside Church. 

Born December 24, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lu Alice Gibson Moody Pope and William B. Moody, Sr. of Moultrie.   Mr. Bill was the salesman at The Battery Source and a member of Lakeside Assembly of God Church.  He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, friend and coach.   Mr. Bill was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan.  

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ed Pope; grandmother, Clara Cutts.

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Belinda Joy Ott Moody of Funston; children, Aleia Daniel and Ben Pitts of Athens, Ian Daniel and Rachael Demnyan of Pittsburg, PA, Matthew Moody of Funston; grandchildren, Haley Anderson, Aidan Anderson; siblings, Alicia Horkan and husband George, James Moody and wife Kathy all of Moultrie; beloved pets, Ruby and Bruce; nieces, Amy Morgan and Chris, Lisa Kent; nephew, Keith Moody and Carrie. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics or The American Kidney Foundation.
