William J. Callahan

MOULTRIE, GA- William J. Callahan, 76, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  

Casketbearers will be Vincent Callahan, J. Michael Owens, Zach Taylor, Michael Arnold, Amrik Pineiro, and Averi Pineiro.

Born June 15, 1946, in Raeford, NC, he was the son of the late Will Jr. Callahan and Catherine Locklear Callahan.  Mr. William was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, retired from Wells Aluminum as a lab tech and was of the Baptist faith.  He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with them.  Mr. William had a passion for collecting guns, knives and restoring a 1951 Ford.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Stokes Callahan of Moultrie, GA; children, Jason J. Callahan and wife Cherie of Thomasville, NC, Jody C.  Perry and husband Gregory of Cape Coral, FL, Janet L. Pineiro of Thomasville, NC, Cissy K. Kerns and husband Vince of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Mason J. Callahan, Vincent Callahan and wife Taylor, Taylor Taylor and husband Zach, Victoria Callahan, Alisha Owens, J. Michael Owens, Amrik Pineiro, Averi Pineiro; great-grandchildren, Valen Callahan, Jolie Callahan, Abigail Callahan, Delaney Callahan, Will Callahan, Vinn Callahan, and James Reynolds; brother, Russell Locklear and wife Nevelyn of Raeford, NC; sister, Jeanette Buckner of Greensboro, NC.
