William M. Lindsey

Millington, MI.- William M. Lindsey, 81, of Millington, MI, and formerly of Moultrie, passed away April 28, 2022, at his daughter’s residence.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Robert McCoy officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Born July 17, 1940, in Norman Park, he was the son of the late William Morris Lindsey and Dorris Irene Norman Lindsey.  Mr. Lindsey was a Citrus Production Manager for Lambeth Groves before becoming self-employed.  He loved talking about all aspects of citrus and fruit trees.  Mr. Lindsey enjoyed several hobbies which included wood working, mowing the grass, fishing and just being in the great outdoors.  He relished enjoying a great steak or fish dinner!  Mr. Lindsey had many joys in life, but his greatest love was his family whom he cherished.  He considered his grandchildren to be the pride and joy of his life.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Carolyn Meadows Lindsey of Michigan; his daughters, Karen Lindsey-Brewer and husband Gary of Millington, MI, Deanna Celest Riley and husband Gene of Warner Robins, GA, and Sara Maxine Hampson and husband Doug of Sebastian, FL; grandchildren, Duane Brewer and wife Justine, Amanda Goodhue and husband Ryan, Dustin Brewer and wife Brittany, Ashley Newman and husband Josh, Lindsey Hampson, Abigail Hampson, Madisen Hampson, Justin Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Michelle Cofer and husband Bill, Earl Lindsey and wife Linda, Janua Young and Geneva Lindsey Kindell; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
