William Solomon Mullis

VALDOSTA, GA – William Solomon Mullis, 97, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Benjamin Hasty officiating. 

Born August 21, 1927, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Asa Dukal Mullis and Ethel Croft Mullis. Mr. Mullis was a career soldier who served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and watching old TV shows. He loved his family dearly and was a member of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Goff Mullis; son, Michael Mullis; and siblings, Jack M. Mullis, Dorthy Sherfield and Asa D. Mullis, Jr.

Survivors include his children, William Mark Mullis and wife Donna and Brian Mullis; grandchildren, Lauren Mullis, Jessica Mullis Murray, Kayla Fenton, and Julia Trabert; and one great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Deborah Mullis; along with several extended family members and friends. 

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
