MOULTRIE, GA – William “Buddy” Lee Taylor, Jr. 77, of Moultrie passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation.
A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Inurnment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends after the service.
Born on January 22, 1945, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Lee Taylor, Sr. and Cretes Juanita Vinson Taylor. Mr. Taylor retired from Moultrie Post Forms as a talented carpenter who could build anything you wanted. He was baptized in October 1954 and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a selfless, caring man who loved to help others, enjoyed watching and reading westerns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Gavin Royce Johnson; sister, Dianne Robinson; brother, Gary Taylor.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly McCollum Carter and Robert; grandchildren, Logan Johnson, Gracie Huston, Asher Merritt; siblings, Andy Taylor and wife Linda, Joe Taylor and wife Kathy; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; close friend, Hubert Jordan.
