Willie Maude “Billie” Pate Tucker, 93, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Cobblestone Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Murray Barfield officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Casketbearers will be Caleb Boyd, Ronnie McMurphy, Hulen NeSmith, Zach Fallin, David Gay, Jr., and Austin Tucker.
Born June 29, 1927, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Homer Winifred Pate and Lorene Dudley Pate. She was the last surviving of eleven children and was delighted to be the matriarch of five generations. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Young Christian Crusade. For 38 faithful years, she was associated with Cagle’s Supermarket. She was known as everyone’s “granny” and was always diligent to keep her family in line.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Titus Tucker; son, Tony Owen Tucker; her daughter, Debbie K. Blackburn; great-grandson, Nicholas Eric Amador III; ten siblings, Daisy Pate Smith, Agnes Pate Wisham, Flossie Pate Thomason Shiver, Archie F. Pate, Robert F. Pate, Morris Winifred Pate, Katherine Pate Johnson, Emmerine Pate Wisham, Nell Pate Camp, and Gladys Pate Jacobs Johnson.
Survivors include daughter Connie Gay and husband David of Thomasville; son, Darrell Graham and wife Sherrie of Moultrie; seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
