Willie Fitzhugh Perryman, Jr.

Willie Fitzhugh Perryman, Jr. 88, of Hartsfield, died Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home.     

          Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Patten and the Rev. Dion Brown officiating.  Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be Tyler Perryman, Warren Funderburk, Wade Hawes, Kim Perryman, Bobby Perryman and Kenneth Perryman.  Honorary casketbearers will be Orik Daniels, Noel Daniels, Bill Truluck, Mitchell Hawes, and the Men’s Sunday School Class of Hartsfield Baptist Church.

          Born August 10, 1932 in Hartsfield, GA, he was the son of the late Willie Fitzhugh Perryman, Sr. and Carrie Estelle Wingate Perryman.  Mr. Perryman was a hardworking farmer and a deacon at Hartsfield Baptist Church.   His family remembers him as a godly and honest gentleman who was totally devoted to caring for his wife and family. 

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his seven siblings.

          Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Maxine Rochella Bailey Perryman of Hartsfield; children, Craig Perryman and Amy of Hartsfield, Monica Funderburk and Al of Hartsfield, Melanie Hawes and Dr. Robert of Moultrie; grandchildren, Tyler Perryman and Leanna, Aubrey Anna Coleman and Chad, Everley Welch and Teddy, Elle Perryman, Abbey Pitts and Cole, Warren Funderburk, Mitchell Hawes and Ivey, Wade Hawes, Bailey Hawes and fiancé Will Barber; four great-grandchildren and two in the oven.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hartsfield Baptist Church and or Colquitt Regional Hospice, PO Box 3548, Moultrie, Ga. 31771.
