Willie Boyd Smith

NORMAN PARK, GA – Willie Boyd Smith, 63, of Norman Park, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the New Covenant Church with Pastor Mark Hancock officiating. 

Born December 6, 1959, in Thomasville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Warren Casterline and Gladys Inez Watson Casterline.  Mr. Smith retired from Crazy Grocery in Morven, Georgia as a meat market manager and was a member of New Covenant Church.  He loved his family, enjoyed going fishing, crocheting, and playing games on his phone.   Mr. Smith liked to watch tv especially liked watching football games.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, sisters, and brothers-in-law; Marilyn Lawson and husband John, Sandra “Sandy” King and husband Calvin, Billy Floyd.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Knowles Smith of Moultrie; children, Timothy Smith and wife Michele, Amia Smith, Scotty Yates and wife Lynn, Cleveland Yates, Marcus Yates, Barbara Willeby and husband Travis; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren; siblings Linda Cambee and husband Max of Lakeland, FL, Bonnie Fowler and husband Billy of Carterville, GA, Barbara Perrine and husband Jim of Arlington, GA, Robert Casterline and wife Sherry of Camilla; several extended family members and friends.
