Willmer Reyes

MOULTRIE, GA – Willmer Eugene Reyes, 75, of Moultrie, GA passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Born September 26, 1948, in DeFuniak Springs, FL, he was the son of the late Ethel Lee Mims and Fatie Marlin Wood and later was adopted by Paulino Gasaque Reyes. Willmer Reyes was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country faithfully. He was a kindhearted and loving man who would help anyone and never met a stranger. Mr. Reyes was a skilled craftsman who could fix or repair anything. He loved his family dearly. Mr. Reyes was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Kirk of 50 years; a son-in-law, John Childree; brothers, James Marlin Wood and Bubbles Eugene Reyes and a sister Ruby LeGro.

Survivors include his children, Shannon Childree, Eugenia Catteeuw and Corrina Parks; grandchildren, Richard Kirk Reyes, Michael Walters, Ian Childree, Lucas Oder, Kaylyn Beam, Sean Beam, Nick Beam, and Brandon Beam; a number of cherished great-grandchildren; sister, Omey Ogden; brother, Jechonias Wood; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
