Mamie Lois Gregory Howard

MOULTRIE, GA – Mamie Lois Gregory Howard, 98, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jackie Cabaniss officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Sunday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born December 2, 1924, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Thomas “E.T.” Gregory and Kate Pate Gregory.  Mrs. Howard retired from the Colquitt County Sheriff's Department as a deputy sheriff with 19 years of service.   She was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Eugene Howard; brothers, Earnest Gregory, Lynwood Gregory; sister-in-law, Carolyn Gregory.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Howard May Horne, Dorothy Jean Howard Dunn, Judy Delores Howard Brabham all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Frances Calhoun Archer and husband Greg, Michael May and wife Robbin; siblings, Coy Gregory, Wylene Flowers, Christine Hardwick all of Moultrie, Linda Faye Chambers of Warner Robins; several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
