MOULTRIE, GA – Marlin Joseph Allen, 75, of Moultrie passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at Legacy Village of Park Regency.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Riverside Holiness Church with the Reverend Mark Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Thursday at the Church.
Casketbearers will be Brad Allen, Shannon Allen, Clay Ulmer, Robbie Moore, Mac Allen, Donovan Allman, and Scott Tabor. Honorary casketbearers will be Ray Millings, Wesley Reynolds, John Strickland, and Winston Baker.
Born September 9, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Theron Allen and Elyse Hall Allen. Mr. Marlin loved the Lord, his family, especially his grandchildren and dog “Charlie”. He was a compassionate, loving, caring person who never met a stranger and was always there to help whenever anyone needed it. Mr. Marlin truly adored his late wife Gerry of 46 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry Stanaland Allen.
Survivors include his children, Grant Allen, Lisa Kenney and Moshe all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Allison Hunter, Kobe Kenney, and Morgan Kenney; siblings, Doc Allen and wife Donna, Voleta Yarbrough and husband Billy all of Moultrie, Kenneth Allen and wife Susie of Ocilla, Rodney Allen and wife Charlene, Sandra Brock and husband Verlyn, Dale Allen and wife Hope all of Moultrie; sisters-in-law, JoAnne Tabor of Moultrie, Gail Ulmer and husband Joel of Whigham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverside Holiness Church, Building Fund, 424 West Blvd SW, Moultrie, GA 31768.
